Connecting Communities Confronting Divides

Encompass Trust’s vision is to create a network of people around the world, who will work together to overcome cultural and societal divisions, and transform conflict in their communities and beyond. A large part of Encompass’ work focuses on bringing young people together, to draw on their energy and their ability to transform the views of their generation, whilst making life altering changes to theirs and others’ future.

Established in 2003, we have over 20 years’ experience working internationally with young people caught up in protracted local and global conflicts. As well as running programmes within the UK, we are focused on supporting programmes in Israel and Palestine, where we have a team of local representatives. At the present this includes two ‘Journey of Understanding’ programmes per year, with participants from Israel and Palestine travelling to neutral ground in Cyprus and/or Turkey, to explore the root causes of the conflict and the barriers that divide them.
